The 32 Ounces of Water Trick
Drinking water can do much more for you than just all the awesome benefits it gives your body. By using it in two particular situations (that I know most of you partake in at least one, but most of you both) it can help you drop at least a pound per month.
The first is water before meals. Before you sit down to eat, down 16 ounces of water. Yes, you may be up and down using the bathroom during your meal but it will curb your appetite and lower your chances of overeating (or eating all the bread or tortilla chips in the middle the table if you're out to eat). There was a British research study done that showed participants who only did this lost an average of 2.87 pounds in 90 days.
Second, is for you social or closet (I drink 2 to 3 glasses of wine a night) drinkers. Just as in drinking 16 ounce of water before meals, do the same between every drink you have. This will do so many things for you: 1) Limit the amount of calories you'll take in via alcohol, 2) Slows your drinking, 3) May prevent you for getting the overeating urges that come with over drinking, 4) Can help you lose up to a pound a month if you typically drink a minimum of 4 drinks twice a week (because with drinking water, you'll cut that in half), 5) Have you waking up the next morning feeling like a million bucks.
